20 November 2005 Residential Safety Campaign Launched
Leading manufacturer Kidde Fyrnetics has launched a campaign to
make housing providers aware of their legal responsibilities to fit
smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms in homes, and for
consistent guidance on the minimum standards demanded by
various, conflicting documents.


12 November 2005 Innovative CO Alarm Range Launched
Kidde Fyrnetics is launching a brand new range of hard-wired CO
alarms specifically for UK housing markets, to help prevent the 50
or so deaths and 200 serious injuries every year known to result
from carbon monoxide poisoning. Resulting from extensive
development and testing, the new CO alarms offer numerous
important features including the unique ‘Smart Interconnect’ facility.

20 July 2005 Latest Residential Safety Update
Another issue of the ‘Residential Safety Update’ has just been
published with the latest news on fire and carbon monoxide safety
in the home. It includes a full review of the latest BS Code of
Practice for smoke and heat alarms, and shows how it conflicts with

16 February 2004 Push for Domestic Heat Alarms
As most house fires start in kitchens where doors are often left
open, there is increasing pressure for installation of domestic heat
alarms, linked to smoke alarms elsewhere, to give occupants early
warning of a fire.
