Kidde's Battery Optical alarms for Fire Services & Local Authorities engineered
to minimise nuisance alarms.
As detailed in the "NEWS" section below, at this time of year (August) thrips coming off crops, can cause some alarms to suffer from nuisance activations. Our Optical alarms are deigned with a fine insect screen around the smoke chamber to minimise the likelihood of this. Though challenging for Engineers regards allowing smoke ingress, we felt this was an essential component if Brigades were to have full confidence in Kidde product.
